Very good food, Very clean restaurant, Very friendly efficient staff.. This was our second experience & it's well worth a trip for that yummy food.. We will definitely be back!..
Ordered ahead for a turkey club and fries. Super quick and easy and friendly pickup. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be back.
Some of the best food... SURPRISINGLY for a truck stop in the middle of very rural New Mexico. Been there 20 times. Never had anything bad.... chicken fried steak is probably the best I have ever had. Breakfast burritos are huge .. amazing.... scrumptious...No Joke.... might see a local movie star while visiting:)
Green chile burger was amazing. It is a bit on the spicy side, but still amazing. Wish i could stop here everyday for lunch. You can have toppings added to your fries so green chile & cheese was a little extra.
I stopped here just by chance. I ended up getting the BEST cheese burger and fries that I've ever had. I just wish it was in Tucson. Give that cook a raise! The ladies that waited on me were really nice too.
This is one of the places where you are going to be surprised how fantastic the food is here. All of the waitstaff are friendly and professional. Shout out to Cathy! You might not realize that the Cafe is in back. Take Lemitar exit to Marathon station. Convenience store in front. Cafe in back. I have been here several times. Never a disappointing meal. Open face roast beef with real mashed potatoes, Mexican combo plate with chips and homemade salsa, Senior menu has a smaller breakfast of one egg, hashbrown, toast and bacon. Senior has small steak dinner 8oz. Everything is great here.
Google maps has the address (or location for the address) wrong--it puts you about a quarter of a mile south on a bumpy dirt road, at someone's house with "Private Property" signs on the gate. It is located inside the Marathon Travel Center just off Exit 156, and does not have the name of the restaurant on the sign. Persevere. It is worth a stop. I had the special omelette for breakfast in a lively, buzzing pleasant restaurant with good food. Lots of locals were there and the vibe was uplifting late on a Saturday morning.
By far my best diner in all NM! Servers know how to serve and check on you frequently. The cooks, both were ladies and they worked as a team. Their energetic demeanor and quality of cooking is evident they love what they do and they love the customers they cook for. Atmosphere clean and vibrant. I gave tips to all of them, the server, Taelene and the two lady cooks in back! They certainly earned and deserve it. I ordered the Trucker breakfast Chicken fried steak.
